Framed Antique 1885 French Eye Study Charcoal Drawing

An antique French charcoal drawing from the late 19th century, framed in a wengé wood frame. The detailed study of an eye was found in an art folder at a brocante market in the southwest of France. Signed Marie February 25, 1885, which makes this piece 140 years old. The drawing is in used condition with marks, stains and pinholes in the four corners, which lend it a beautiful patinated character.
